Area Description

East Lake Axewell is one of three major lakes found in Pokémon Sword and Shield’s vast Wild Area. It surrounds the small island of Axew’s Eye.

As its name seems to imply, East Lake Axewell is indeed home to a wide variety of Water-type Pokémon. The northern most part of this zone extends all the way up to the entrance of Motostoke, with Lake Miloch bordering its right flank. Rolling Fields takes up the lake’s southern boundary.

In addition to the large number of Water-type Pokémon, East Lake Axewell offers Trainers plenty of grassy areas that conceal Pokémon; some of these monsters include Grubbin, Stufful, and Snorunt—among several others. Pokémon Shield players can find Growlithe, while Pokémon Shield players can find Vulpix. Butterfree and Pidove also patrol the open skies above.
