The Isle of Armor Description

Released on June 17, 2020, The Isle of Armor is Pokémon Sword and Shield’s first installment of DLC, unlocked by purchasing the Expansion Pass. The island itself is located off the eastern coast of Galar’s main body of land.

Here, players are introduced to a variety of new environments not seen on Galar’s mainland such as “wave-swept beaches, forests, bogs, caves, and sand dunes.” But they’re also introduced to new characters and Pokémon.

Kubfu is a Legendary Fighting-type Wushu Pokémon who has been trained and mentored by the legendary Trainer Mustard. Players will train alongside Kubfu to hone their battle skills before taking on the Tower of Darkness or Tower of Waters.

Recycle with the Cram-o-matic

The Cram-o-matic is a unique piece of recycling equipment that sits in Master Mustard’s dojo.

“If players feed it four items, it will combine them and give out a new item in exchange. Trainers can receive any of a variety of items, including Poké Balls, PP Ups, and more.”

Certain items combinations will even yield rare items.

Power Up With Max Soup

Max Soup is a special dish made from rare ingredients you can gather on the Isle of Armor.

If a Pokémon with great hidden potential drinks Max Soup, it will become a special Pokémon capable of Gigantamaxing.

Some Pokémon that Trainers are already traveling with may also gain the ability to Gigantamax.
